Matchwinner was founded on June 1, 2022, by Nicholas and Laust. The company later became a limited liability company on November 11, 2022.

On March 27, 2025, Matchwinner appeared on *Løvens Hule*, where Nikolaj Nyholm and Tahir Siddique purchased a 20% stake in the company.

On October 31, 2025, Matchwinner opened its first vintage soccer jersey store at 12 Hyskenstræde in the heart of Copenhagen.
